As we prepare to celebrate Christmas tomorrow, we remember that one unexpected pregnancy saved us all, when Our Lord was born poor in stable, with not even a crib for his head, as had been announced by the Angel Gabriel nine months prior.
Back in June we asked for prayers for a local homeless mother, Nicki, who gave birth to her baby Gabriel, with our Director of Operations Jessica present for his birth at the hospital — she even cut the cord!

For the last six months, Nicki has been living with her infant baby boy in a homeless shelter in El Paso, but thanks be to God, she was finally able to get into a new apartment just in time for Christmas!Â
I would like to thank the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Las Cruces for donating an enormous amount of mother and baby items through a parish Angel Tree.
Similar to the gifts from the Wise Men blessing the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus in their time of need, many of these items have blessed Nicki and Baby Gabriel just in time for their first Christmas together as they have started to make their empty apartment a home together.

Now that they have plenty of baby supplies, they are still in need of some more basic household items to fill their empty apartment.Â
Here is a list of items that they still need. If you are able to donate any of these items, they can be dropped off at our office at 1521 E Missouri Ave in El Paso starting Monday, December 27 at 9AM, or if you are in Las Cruces, you can also continue to drop off items at the Cathedral.

If you feel called to help local moms and babies like Nicki and Gabriel on an ongoing basis year-round, all new and increased monthly pledges will also be annualized towards this goal.Â
